NASA announces deep space crew vehicle

Plans were annouced today to develop a new deep space vehicle based on the earlier Orion crew vehicle. The goal is to send manned missions to an asteroid and then on to Mars.

A beautiful way to show how dynamic clouds are over time. Featured on Astronomy Photo of the Day (a moving photo in this case) and shot over a year’s time on the island of Tenerife, this timelapse clip shows clouds (and some stars) moving across the sky and landscape, almost like flowing water.
